GP Training

The Practice is approved for training of Doctors in General Practice prior to taking on a general practice in their own right.

GP Registrars

Dr. Lynch continues to provide Training for General Practice Registrars. She was re-accredited in January 2014. The panels view was that the practice is extremely well organised with very good support from the whole team.

Dr. Lynch attends the West Middlesex Trainer's Workshops (once a month during term time) and biannual Residentials. One of these Residentials is for Trainers (November) and the other for Trainers and Registrars (May).

Other training

Medical Students

Dr. Paska has become a mentor to final year Medical Students from Imperial Medical School. These students attend the practice for 3 weeks. During this time they sit in with the Doctors, Nurse and Phlebotomists. They gain experience outside the practice with the district nurses and health visitors.

Health Care Assistants

The Phlebotomists received training at Ashford Hospital. They have received in-house training to enable them to take blood pressure, weight, peak flows, urinalysis etc.

Work Experience Programme

We continue to provide places for the work experience scheme. The attached year 11 students all spent two weeks with Little Park Surgery
