On-Line Prescribing has been improved

We have recently changed the way that Repeat Prescriptions can be ordered via the Internet.

The new on-line prescription service enables you to bring up a list of your current medication on screen & to submit a direct on-line request to the Practice for a repeat prescription. This service allows you to track and monitor your request as it is processed. This service is easy to use. Click here for more details

iPod Lifesavers

The NHS trust website www.sussexambulance.nhs.uk is offering free downloads of first-aid and resuscitation advice in MP3 format for people with iPods and similar music players. It has seven files each lasting two to three minutes on common 999 issues such as burns and fits.

St John's Ambulance also offers MP3 file downloads which give advice on First Aid . Visit their site at www.sja.org.uk/firstaid/info/.

Flu and Pneumococcal Campaign

Flue season is upon us again and Little Park Surgery is ready to vaccinate all of you who require this and the Pneumococcal vaccination this year.

Flu vaccinations will be arriving into the practice at the end of September. Pneumococcal vaccines are in the surgery now so if you are 65 or over or have had one in the past, please see the receptionist who will book you an appointment in our flu clinic.

Medical Students

Little Park Surgery provides training for Medical Students from Imperial College London. These students are attached to the practice for three weeks at a time. They sit in with different members of the Primary Care Team as well as meeting patients. Dr. Paska co-ordinates their training.

The Practice is also a host practice for doctors on the Refugee Doctor Scheme. This scheme, coordinated by Dr. Lynch, provides six week placements in General Practice for qualified doctors who are learning about the NHS. The doctors then spend six weeks in hospital medicine.
